Jalapeno Popper Dip

I don't know about you, but I am a huge fan of jalapeno poppers (or most things involving jalapenos).
So whenever I am in charge of appetizers, jalapeno poppers are a must have item, but dips are also very popular with guests (especially hot dips). So wouldn't it be great to combine these two things?

If you are with me on that, then here is a great dip recipe; Jalapeno Popper Dip.

Recipe:

Ingredients:
6-8 slices of bacon, diced and cooked crispy
2 8-oz packages of cream cheese, softened
1 cup of mayonnaise
4-6 jalapeno's, chopped and deseeded. The seeds will make it fiery hot (I like to leave some seeds in)
1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup diced green onion

Topping:
1 cup of crushed crackers (Ritz works great, or for a healthier cracker I use Breton)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 stick of butter, melted

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Combine all of the ingredients into a medium bowl. Stir well.
Transfer to an oven proof dish. Combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle all over the top of the dip.
Bake the dip for 20-30 minutes or until bubbly.
Remove from oven. Serve & Enjoy!

Better For You Jalapeno Poppers

If there's one thing that people love to eat at parties and pubs, it's jalapeno poppers. They're just too good to resist, but if you're trying to watch what you eat then you may feel guilty for eating deep fried food. Well not anymore with these baked jalapeno poppers.

Recipe:

Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 12 Jalapenos, halved & seeded
  • 24 – six inch pieces of bacon, uncooked
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F.
Combine cream cheese and spices in small bowl.
Spoon mixture into each pepper half, until level.
Wrap each in bacon, and place on baking sheet.
Bake for 40-45 minutes.  Remove and enjoy!
Enjoy!
